西安南开高级中学是一所全日制普通高中。在校学生1700余人，学生主要来自西安市区，也有少数的香港籍学生。学校被教育部门评定为“高中教学质量综合评估优胜学校”。学校占地6万多平方米，建筑面积5万多平方米。

2022年学校设立国际课程班，截止目前，国际班学生142人，教师41人，师生比例1:4,国际课程班主要开设IGCSE以及Alevel 课程，开设有15门课程，拥有12个学生社团。国际课程班采用小班教育模式，每个班级不超过15人,授课教师100%拥有硕士以上学历，85%的教师拥有海外留学经历，拥有6名外籍教师。

国际课程班培养的多数学生都能够在数学、物理、化学、经济这几门学科中取得A,或A*的成绩，优秀的学生在美国AMC数学竞赛、英国BPHo物理竞赛、美国物理碗竞赛中都分别获取了全国5%卓越奖,全国金奖、银奖的成绩。

经过几年来的不懈努力，学校将“因材施教、分层教育”理念成功运用至日常教学中，取得了优异的教学成绩及傲人的升学录取结果，成功跻身成为被大众认可的西北地区强优势 A-level 国际课程名校升学中心。

Xi'an Nankai Senior High School is a full-time senior secondary institution with a student population exceeding 1,700. While the majority of students hail from Xi'an's urban districts, the school also enroll a small cohort of Hong Kong SAR students. The school campus spans over 60,000 square metres with a total built-up area exceeding 50,000 square metres. Since its establishment in 2022, the International Curriculum Programme has grown to accommodate 142 students and 41 teaching staff, maintaining an exceptional student-teacher ratio of 1:4.
